Welcome to Shush Me Food section. We must admit it was difficult to visit all the places but we made it! Sometimes staff had to roll us home!
Patara, Greek St, W1D I must say that I had one of my first dinners with my fiance there and they had to serve good food as we had more dates than that one (he had to impress me with his restaurant choice). The meal was delicious. If you like Thai food- you can't miss it.
The Rocket, 11-13 Churchfield Rd, W3 The best salads in London! If you are one of those who live on rabbit food- The Rocket is your choice. They also serve meats and pastas. It's a great place for a girls' dinner/lunch.
Chisou 4 Princess St, London, W1B The best sushi in town. Fresh, gorgeous and absolutely fabulous! If you are mad about Japanese, you just have to try it. Oh! And make sure you book your table in advance as it's hugely popular and walk-ins dont normally get the table.
The Gaucho Grill 29 Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf, E14 My boyfriend's (and his mates') favourite lunch place. It's a heaven for steak eaters. So if you are a meaty kinda girl or you want to please your man, you know where to take him. Oh! Make sure you sit by the window-fabulous view at the river. If you're not round Canary Wharf, this restaurant has Broadgate, City, Picadilly, Sloane (and other branches).
Levant 76 Wigmore st W1E Its so much more than a middle-eastern restaurant. It's a poetry! We all adored Lebanese dishes (everything from mezze to grilled fish, salads and meats of course)
Hakkasan 8 Hanway Place, Hanway Street W1T It's nothing left to say but-spectacular! it's one of the sexiest bars/restaurants in London! The food is the thing, authentic Chinese. Chef worked at Singapore Ritz before, so you can expect Ritz quality in Hakkasan.
Lunching in the city, best place is Throgmortons, 27a Throgmorton street, london EC2N 2AN, well hidden but well worth it! (Nice for a drink or two too)
Ubon again Canary Wharf, easier to get a table than it's sister Nobu, but equally as good!
If you like Greek try Halepi 48-50 Belsize Lane, London, NW3 5AR, Lemonia 89 Regents Park Road, London NW1 8UY or Mario's 153-155 Broadhurst Gardens (very authentic and the Gallery is good for a drink first)
In Shoreditch, then you can't beat Viet Hoa, 70-72 Kingsland Road, Shoreditch E2 8DP, or Soulard (GREAT!!! french, friendly and boozy) 113 Mortimer Road, London, N1 4JY, or even Les Trois Garcons 1 Club Row, London, E1 6JX, try it's interesting 'daughter' Lounge Lover for a cocktail (or two) first
Oh and HATE Cru (waiters stole my boyfriends shopping - ok he was pissed and left it but you would still expect it back) and Shish, tries hard but the food is just NO, though the cocktails downstairs are GOOD
South of the river, well let me know, contribute with your favourites.
