London Gore Hotel Review
The Gore Hotel, Kensington, London

On arrival at this stylish Victorian hotel, we're told the room was on the top floor, in the attic. The room was hidden, but we found it! says ANNA HALSALL

Our romantic weekend at the Gore Hotel started on Friday afternoon, where we decided to celebrate my birthday at the Burlesque party that was hosted by the hotel and to spend a weekend there.

Despite booking the table at the burlesque party 2 weeks in advance we didn't get it. The bar manager pretended to be bothered and kept disappearing every two seconds to "find somewhere to sit". But alas he didn't manage to find seats. He didn't look bothered. He didn't send a drink to apologise either. Oh well...

On arrival at this stylish Victorian hotel, we're told the room was on the top floor, in the attic. The lift didn't go all the way but we found it anyway!

The room was small, dark but cosy, cosy to the point that it was hard to get to the mirror or sit at the desk, even the wardrobe was tiny.

Interestingly the walls were painted scarlet red, the bed was big and comfortable but TV was definitely too a small, though we weren't planning to watch much TV so again Oh well...
